Is Smoking Good for Us?

Thesis

Before we are going to smoke, it is better to look at the fact. About 50 thousands people die every year in Britain as direct result of smoking. This is seven times as many as die in road accidents. Nearly a quarter of smokers die because of diseases caused by smoking.

Argument

Ninety percent of lung cancers are caused by smoking. If we smoke five cigarettes a day, we are six times more likely to die of lung cancer than a non smoker. If we smoke twenty cigarettes a day, the risk is nineteen greater. Ninety five percent of people who suffer of bronchitis are people who are smoking. Smokers are two and half times more likely to die of heart disease than non smokers. Additionally, children of smoker are more likely to develop bronchitis and pneumonia. In one hour in smoky room, non smoker breathes as much as substance causing cancer as if he had smoked fifteen cigarettes.

Reiteration

Smoking is really good for tobacco companies because they do make much money from smoking habit. Smoking however is not good for every body else.

 

Cars should be banned

Thesis

Cars should be banned in the city. As we all know, cars create pollution, and cause a lot of road deaths and other accidents.

 

Argument 1

Firstly, cars, as we all know, contribution to the most of the pollution in the world. Cars emit a deadly gas that causes illness such as bronchritis, lung cancer, and ‘triggers’ off asthma. Some of these illnesses are so bad that people can die from them.

 

Argument 2

secondly, the city is very busy. Pedestrians wander everywhere and cars commonly hit pedestrains in the city, which causes them to die. Cars today are our roads biggest killers.

Corruption and Indonesian Culture

Corruption has happened for many years and today it becomes a bad culture in Indonesia for three reasons

Argument 1:

Most adult Indonesian or foreigners have known and admitted that corruptions happen in many places. The daily newspapers, news programs on TV and radio have reported corruptions are done everywhere, almost in all departments or public services of this country. Corruptions happen in health, education departments and banks. When we manage to get some documents in public service offices, we usually need much money to pay. Manipulations happen everywhere

Salah satu jenis teks yang diperkenalkan di SMA kelas XI adalah Analytical Exposition. Jenis teks ini cukup baru bagi beberapa guru termasuk penulis sendiri. Penulis menemui kesulitan dalam menyampaikan teks tersebut kepada siswa. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, maka penulis berinisiatih untuk mencari informasi sebanyak-banyaknya tentang teks ini dan berusaha untuk membagi informasi tersebut kepada guru-guru Bahasa Inggris terutama di Kabupaten Karangasem Bali.

Narrator : Five thousand years ago, at an unknown place, there lived a beautiful princess named Snow White. Her skin was as white as snow, her lips were gorgeous, and her hair was shiny. That arrogant queen has an unimportant habit, which was she always asking her faithful Fortune-Teller, who was the most beautiful woman in the universe, and the answer was always the queen.

One day, the queen asking the same question to her Fortune-Teller again.

The Queen : Hey, my faithful Fortune-Teller! Who is the most beautiful woman in the universe? (With an arrogant pride)

Fortune-Teller : My queen, the most beautiful woman in the universe is Snow White. Sorry, but now you are not more beautiful than Snow White. (With flat expression)

The Queen : Snow White?! It is impossible! My lovely cat is more beautiful than her! Don’t be joking! (Surprised and angry)

Fortune-Teller : My queen, I am not joking. If you did not believe it, you could take a look on the mirror in your palace together with Snow White. Definitely, the one who is more beautiful will be…

Allomorph

An allomorph is a linguistics term for a variant form of a morpheme. The concept occurs when a unit of meaning can vary in sound (phonologically) without changing meaning. It is used in linguistics to explain the comprehension of variations in sound for a specific morpheme.

ALLOMORPHS: It frequently happens that a particular morpheme is not represented everywhere by the same morph, but by different morphs in different environments. The alternative phonological manifestations or representations of such a morpheme are called allomorphs, or 'morpheme alternates' or 'morpheme variants'. Gleason defines allomorphs as, "a variant of a morpheme which occurs in certain definable

Protagonist

Tom and Jerry

Tom is a cat house bluish gray (the color of Tom's hair is very similar to the Russian Blue cat coat color) living in the comforting, while Jerry is a small brown mouse who always lived close to where Tom lives. Tom is very quick-tempered and irritable, while Jerry is a character who lives free and very smart to take a chance.

Jerry Mouse

Both these characters have a tendency to be sadistic; means they're both very happy to torment one another. However, in some episodes, when one of the characters are in situations of danger, other characters will tersadarkan and save the character.

Plot

The story line in every short story is usually centered on the efforts it was impossible to catch Jerry Tom, accompanied by various physical conflict and material damage. They sometimes looks can live peacefully side by side in several episodes (at least in the first few minutes), so sometimes it is not clear why Tom was so eager to chase Jerry. Several reasons may be the lasting enmity of cat and mouse, the task given by the owner of the house, revenge, and competition against other cats.

Tom catch Jerry rarely successful, primarily due to versatility and agility Jerry and Tom's own stupidity. Tom usually beat Jerry when the rat became the cause of the problem or when Jerry was acting too much.

They are well-known short story by the most sadistic joke that is never presented in animation: Jerry Tom's body cut into half, Jerry Tom put a tail on the window, pinning Jerry Tom's head with a window or door, Jerry dropped a variety of heavy objects ranging from iron, iron mace , closing the oven, glasses, plates, glasses, and other furniture into Tom's head. Tom using everything from axes, pistols, bombs of dynamite and poisons to be an attempt to kill Jerry, Jerry Tom tails grilling into a toaster, put the cat's tail into the hole power, hitting his face with a baseball bat, and others. However, besides all this sadistic act, no blood or the terrible things that appear in their stories. The joke is often repeated in this sadistic act is when Jerry beat Tom when the cat was doing something. Tom initially oblivious to the pain --- but then feel it later!

The series is also famous for its dependence on various cliches, such as the body becomes black character caused an explosion and the use of shadow images of an enlarged (as in the episode "Dr.. Jekyll and Mr.. Mouse.") Resemblance to objects and real events could be the main attraction of this cartoon series of visual humor. Characters Tom and Jerry changed into ordinary forms of unreasonable but very related to the events (mostly in a forced situation due to being beaten or otherwise) in the image of a closed but it's quite horrible in the real world.

Music plays a very important role in each episode, giving emphasis on actions of characters, filling the voice sound effects, and bringing emotion into the story. Composer Scott Bradley created complex piece of music that combines jazz, classical and pop for this series. He often uses contemporary pop songs and songs from MGM films such as "The Wizard of Oz" and "Meet Me In St.. Louis."

Pre-1953, all Tom and Jerry animated films produced in the standard Academy ratio and format of American films (the Academy). From 1953 until 1956, some films produced in the format of multiple Academy and widescreen CinemaScope process. From 1956 until the closing of the MGM animation studio a year later, all Tom and Jerry animated film produced in CinemaScope, some even accompanying songs were recorded in stereo. In the era of the 1960s, the works of Gene Deitch and Chuck Jones all produced in Academy format, but with a composition that can be converted into a widescreen format. Works by Hanna-Barbera was originally produced in the three-stripTechnicolor; while manufactured in the 1960s using Metrocolor format.
